English Language Arts

Hi there!

So the English component of the exam is all multiple choice and is all reading comprehension. In my exam, they gave a couple of short stories and some poems. What I would suggest is to first read the questions and try to answer line specific questions (for example, if the question asks for something in line 63, read line 60 - 64 then answer the question). Also only read the whole thing if you have to! Remember the exam is timed!!! You only get 60 minutes to answer 60 multiple choice questions from English AND Social Studies!!! Another thing to watch for in the English section is Literary Devices. You should know your basic Literary Devices such as Simile, Metaphor, Personification, Alliteration, Sentence Fragment, etc... You should also know the differences between these. I will make another post with the definitions of these. That is about it for the English section of the exam.

See ya,
RC
